Summary of the article below: New evidence about the lives of Neanderthals has been discovered. The evidence is shiny seashells. For a seashell to be shiny, it has to be collected while still alive on the seafloor. Neanderthals must have held their breath, dived down headfirst, and searched the seafloor for shells. To do this, they probably had to dive somewhere between 6 and 13 feet (1.8–3.9 m). Neanderthals made blades out of the seashells. This was 100,000 years ago.

Neanderthals Could Swim. They Even Dived.
